BUTTER YELLOW
Soft and solar, Butter Yellow, popularized in the 90's, will bring a comforting vibe into your house.
Depending on the other colors and materials you use, it will fit perfectly into all decorative styles: industrial, cottage, space age, boho.
And unlike more powerful yellow tones, it will easily go into any room from the kitchen to the office.
Here is a Userguide if you want to go for it.
01
AS A FLAT COLOR
Whether in a neutral, pastel or bolder decor like in a Memphis inspired interior, butter yellow works perfectly as a wall painting color.
Moreover, it can go in any room, from the bedroom to the kitchen.
However, we advise you to use it smartly, for example in North-facing rooms to bring in more light.

PLAY WITH TEXTURES
Just like butter in a recipe, we will add texture to this shade to avoid having a dull decor.
Especially if you use it in a very neutral background.
If creamy or bright, this shade of yellow can get stronger.
We advise you to choose your finishes according to your decorative style.
Lacquered furniture, for example, will be perfect for a Space age interior.
Velvety textiles will warm up an industrial style.
A silky paint will wake up a pastel cottage decor.

GET IT STRUCTURED
Butter yellow can be used on accessories.
But if you want to use its full warming power and make it visible, it is better to use it as a wall painting color.
However, like with any pastel shade, we advise you to get it structured so it doesn't blur too much the volumes of the room.
In order to do so, we associate it with black, dark browns or charcoal.

MIX IT WITH STRONGER WARM COLORS
Used as a main color, butter yellow will allow you to integrate brighter warm tones in the room without them being too harsh on the eye.
Less clear-cut than white or beige, it will elevate all the more powerful shades of yellow, oranges, terracotta or even bright pinks.

USE IT ON TEXTILES
If it's a shame to only select accessories in this color because they can go unnoticed, it is different for textiles.
In a bedroom, often in white/beige tones, yellow bed linen will warm up the ambiance.
Same story in the living room: choose shiny butter yellow cushions to brighten up your light linen sofa.
