RED DAHLIA

RED DAHLIA

LE SERPENT

She's a chilling and enigmatic character from the epic show The Serpent.

Monique confirms the 70's Revival with sharp looks.

And we are happy to take inspiration from it for our decoration.

But be careful with vintage aesthetic and don't fall into an overly retro interior.

To do so: separate the 70's aestethics characteristics.

Now, let's review Monique/Marie-Andrée outfits played by Jenna Coleman to identify them.

SMOKED GLASS

Lighting, furniture or decorative objects in smoked glass: options are varied.

We appreciate its warmness and the easiness to mix it with other styles.

CANAGE

Let's look at the set here and the Emmanuelle armchair.

A Polynesian throne that has become iconic thanks to cinema, it is a key piece for a gypsy decor.

So go for thin rattan, woven like lace on furniture or as coverings.

ENERGIZING COLORS

Bloody orange or sunny yellow: you can opt for a bright shade to bring to your interior a joyful 70's mood.

As a paint accent, on lighting fixtures or as a furniture covering.

Up to you.

But we prefer to use shiny and silky finishes.

RETRO PATTERN

Another way to play the 70's aesthetic: go for psychedelic patterns.

Wallpaper or textile, we select geometric prints which will bring definition to a space.

And we particularly like the contrast of the assertive shapes and soft desaturated colors on Jenna's top.

GYPSET EMBROIDERY

To play the Boho part of the 70s, we use embroideries.

Sheers, hammock or wall decoration.

We love their light, summery and elegant look.
